This audiobook is not intended for anyone under the age of 18, or anyone who doesn't like lip biting, throw-your-ass-on-the-bed, tear-your-clothes-off-and-leave-you-panting dominant alpha male characters. Warning: Mature content and language not intended for anyone under the age of 18. My friends and I can’t trust anyone, and nothing is as it seems on the surface - not even me.

Every time he touches me or looks at me with those golden eyes, he seems to pull me further in under his spell, despite my better judgment. Oh - did I mention that he is absolutely sex-on-a-stick gorgeous and he makes me feel things that I never ever wanted to feel for a Fae. He’s a rude, overbearing, egotistical ass with a compulsive need to possess, dominate, and control me. What started out as a strange assignment leads to one of the most gruesome murder mysteries of our time, and my friends and I are set and determined to find out who is killing off Fae and Witches alike.Ĭouple of problems in the way - I hate the Fae, and the Prince of the Dark Fae is bound and determined that I work for him. I want an actual story with my steam, and as an author, if you can't establish that story in the first 20%, and instead are relying on readers love of faerie porn, well, it's a nope from me.Have you ever heard of the old Celtic legends of the Fae - beautiful, magical, deadly, and a love of messing with humans just for kicks and giggles? Constant, CONSTANT thoughts about sex (like, how does she get any work done?). Twice looking in the mirror and describing her looks. Tight pants or short short that show off her ass.

Always small, tight tank that shows cleavage. Right down to describing every outfit change Syn has, and sexualizing it. If you have read my reviews before, you know I love smut. It was just smut, with a little bit of story. Ryder's POV was him thinking repetitively that he was going to make her his, and his dirty thoughts. Syn's constant inner monologue hating Ryder, but constantly thinking the same dirty thoughts over and over was irritating and boring. I don't mind a darker romance, but I want a CONSENSUAL romance. Am I supposed to be impressed that he doesn't rape her? Her touches her, he fucks with her mind. At one point he has her crawling on the ground. Repetitive.Ģ0% through the book, and Ryder had "fae-fucked" Syn twice, which is essentially bending her will and body, and making her so insanely horny, she is begging him to fuck her (despite the fact that she hates him and all fae). I got 20% through the book, and multiple times I had to stop, go back, and make sure I didn't skip a page, because it was disjointed. Potential for sure, but she needs an editor.
